The issue includes articles: THE SOUTH CAUCASUS MAY TURN INTO A HUB OF INTENSE CONFRONTATION By Irakli Aladashvili considers Russia and NATO strategic plans in South Caucasus region, briefly reviews Russian army deployment in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. GEOSTRATEGIC IMPLICATIONS OF THE CAUCASUS REGION By Vakhtang Maisaia considers the Caucasus as a conjunction of three geostrategically important communication systems which connect the Black and Caspian seas with three world oceans (and with each other) and are vitally important for naval force operations, especially given the fact that the Black Sea remains unfrozen for the whole maritime season.

The Issue also includes Military Chronicle which highlights special events, conflict zones, army building and army life, visits, negotiations, co-operation, state security question, attitude of the Georgian military establishment to the Kosovo crisis and other question. The chronicle based on the information from the Georgian media. The issue followed with the Digest of the Georgian Press.
